Grrrrrr!

Well today has been fairly successful. I've made sure I've eaten lots of fruit, and veg so things are looking up at the moment. Just got to get through the rest of the week! I got a bit upset with Mat (my hubby) earlier today which left me craving sweet things and chocolate, this seems to be what happens when I feel stressed or upset. I have an appointment at the doctors tomorrow about my blood test results for fertility. Mat said he would come with me but I dont know how much use he'll be to me to be honest. I'm ususally the supporter, not the supportee. Ah well, just have to take it as it comes I guess!

Speed food soup

This is what I had for lunch today -speed food soup, made with loads of superfree foods which give a boost to your weight loss. The recipe makes loads and is super filling and very easy to add spices and flavourings to make it interesting, curry powder for example is a tasty addition. I had mine with 2 slices of Nimble bread (healthy extra b choice) and 2 laughing cow light cheeses (5 as a healthy a choice or 1.5 syns each).

  • 1 can mixed bean salad
  • 1 can green lentils
  • 2 cans chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can baked beans
  • Handful of split lentils
  • 2 large leeks
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 medium carrots
  • 2 parsnips
  • Green, red & yellow pepper
  • 2 beef or chicken or vegetable stock cubes
  • Salt pepper
  • Mixed herbs
  • Water (enough to cover all ingredients)

1. Chop and put all vegetables in pan
2. Add all other ingredients
3. Cover with water bring to boil and simmer until soft
4. Can be left chunky or blended

I also made a massive fruit salad to put in the fridge. Just knowing that I have something to tuck into at anytime will help, so many people in group do this and to be honest its not something I've ever done.  I think this is really going to help this week, bring on the 3lb weight loss!

First time blogger!

As I've said in my 'about me' I've been slimming for a while now and need a little focus so thought I'd attempt writing a blog! I am treating today as my first day on the plan after a couple of weeks of stress and anxiety over trying for a baby and I have more of that to come this week so hopefully I wont do too badly. I have done ok so far this morning; banana and strawberries with activia fat free yoghurt for breakfast, then left over roast chicken and a teaspoon of extra light mayo for a snack so here's hoping that I can keep it up for the rest of the day!
